Reasons Why Diesel Generators Do Not Generate Electricity

Mar 15, 2022

The reasons for the failure to generate electricity are that the engine oil circuit is not smooth, the cylinder compression is abnormal, and the viscosity of the lubricating oil is relatively large.

1. First turn off the ignition switch, check whether the connection lines of each part of the power system are deviated, whether the fuse is blown, and the tension of the fan belt. Then turn on the ignition switch and use the rotation to check whether the cover at the rear end of the generator is attractive, start the engine, the ammeter shows no charging or the charging light is always on The generator or regulator may be faulty, I suggest you better check or replace the generator or regulator.

2. The generator does not operate according to the limited technical conditions. For example, the stator voltage is high, the iron loss increases, the load current is too large, and the copper loss of the stator winding increases; the frequency is too low, which slows down the rotation speed of the cooling fan and affects the generator. If the heat dissipation is too low, the force factor is too low, the excitation current of the rotor is increased, and the heating of the rotor is affected; check whether the indication of the monitoring instrument is normal.

3. If it exceeds 10 percent of the total three-phase current difference current, that is, the phase current is seriously unbalanced, resulting in the failure sequence magnetic field of the three-phase current unbalance, please read and adjust the three-phase load in combination with the heating of the components that affect the magnetic poles. , to make maximum efforts to maintain the balance of the phase currents.
